In 1983, Podium started to produce for interior designers and worked crosely with construction companies and architectural offices in decorating 5-star hotels in Thailand. In 1987, Podium started to export dining sets to USA. In 1990, Podium expanded business to high-end markets in Japan. And, we constructed a 6,000 SQM factory in Chonbury. In 1995, Podium founded Podium Home Center to handle domestic marketing. At present, Podium owns a 40,000 SQM factory with 800 tallented staffs. We produce dining sets and bedroom sets for both domestic and export markets. And, we have won contracts to decorate hotels, clubhouses, and franchise restaurants in many countries. Moreover, we hire well-selected Thai and Japanese designers to create our own design furniture under our own brand. Before 1995, Podium was merely an OEM but we were proud to be a quality OEM without pre-regulated obligations. We can share our ideas in buyers' design in term of structure and material to achieve their satisfied designs, the best quality and price. We believe that a quality factory is the best showroom to be checked and approved by buyers because it has a good management team, remarkable workmanship and long-experienced staffs. In this globalized business world, it is certain that a general OEM cannot survive forever. That is why Podium has to own our own brand to maintain sustainable growth. At present, OEM business generates 60% and OBM 40% revenues for Podium. The keen competition inspires Podium to make greater effects of converting into an OBM completely.
